Family & Children’s Place is a nominee for Lucky’s Market “Bags for Change” program and we need your help and your Facebook votes! It’s also a chance to double down on the benefit, but more on that later.

Starting today, June 15, Lucky’s Market will announce the contest with an image on its Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/luckysmarketlouisville?fref=nf). Comments in the image will list Family & Children’s Place, along with three others, and you will be invited to cast your vote by “Liking” the comment we’re mentioned in.

The top three organizations with the most “Like” votes cast by Friday, June 19 will be included in the market’s upcoming July through September Bags for Change program. There, when shoppers bring in their reusable bags, they can take a dime off their bill or donate a dime to a nonprofit of their choosing – preferably us!

Lucky’s uses a wooden dime to represent the 10-cent donation, so you will be asked to drop it in the Family & Children’s Place bin. The dimes add up during the quarter and at the end, Lucky’s Market DOUBLES the donation – doubling the help and hope we can give child victims of violence, abuse and neglect and their families.

The contest is part of Lucky’s Market Impact Program, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life in communities it serves, with an emphasis on youth and education, healthy communities and resilience.

We’re excited to be nominated and to go head to head to compete for dimes that add up to dollars that will continue to support our fight to free Louisville area children and families from abuse forever.

So starting today, visit Lucky’s Market Facebook page, and then “Like” us in the comments. Ask your friends, your family, your co-workers … anybody and everybody to “drop a dime” to help a child.
