April, just a few weeks away, is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to acknowledge the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect, and to promote the social and emotional well-being of children and families.

During the month, Family & Children’s Place will be sharing child abuse and neglect prevention awareness strategies, ideas and activities on our website, Facebook and Twitter. We encourage you to engage as well, to commit to prevent child abuse.

Attend our Rally to End Child Abuse at 11 a.m., March 30, at the Big Four Bridge Lawn. Wear blue on April 8. Plant a pinwheel. Join us April 20 for our Building Brighter Futures breakfast at the Seelbach Hilton or sign up for Stomp the silence: Taking steps toward healing,” a 5k walk/run April 16 at Seneca Park.
