Bingham Fellows class creates conversation
January 7, 2016
At Family & Children’s Place, we believe that ongoing conversations between elected officials and their elector representatives are a good thing. While there’s greater focus on the run-up to elections, it the accountability piece that is so critical to good governance and to true community building.
So we applaud the Bingham Fellows Class of 2015 – for transparency, our president and CEO Pam Darnell is an alum in this class – for putting together “Café Louie,” opportunities for everyday citizens to meet and speak with their Jefferson County representatives.
The first event is Saturday, 9-10 a.m., at Fern Creek Library, with Rep. Kevin Bratcher (R, District 29), and Sen. Jimmy Higdon (R, District 14 and majority whip). The library is located at 6768 Bardstown Road. A second event is planned Jan. 16, at St. Matthews Library, 3940 Grandview Ave., with Rep. Mary Lou Marzian (D, District 34), and Sen. Julie Raque Adams (R, District 36).
Other events, to be scheduled, can be found on a Facebook page the class created: https://www.facebook.com/events/203671976643958/
Politics is a process, not an outcome. Join the conversation and help create a better Kentucky with the help of your Jefferson County delegation
