Laura’s Angels: A fashion statement for children
October 24, 2016
Are you a fiend for fashion? A champion of children? Blend a bit of both at Laura’s Angels: Disco Fever, a night of ’70s flashback fashion where 100 percent of proceeds go to organizations working with young people in Louisville, including Family & Children’s Place.
Tickets are $25 for general admission, $50 for preferred runway and $75 for preferred stage or booth. Donations also are welcome. Get tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lauras-angels-tickets-27787020727.
The evening begins with cocktails and networking, then there is a meet and mingle with the production crew, designers and other industry representatives. Guests can visit designers’ pop-up shops, including Project Runway Contestant and All-Star, Gunnar Deatherage, before the show starts to get fit with their custom-made pieces!
Also on hand will be ’70s inspired couture and street style looks by Asa Lyons of Exult, Tyler Grube, Kristina Sellers of Kilika Couture, and Francis Lewis of Ann DeEvelin Clothing Co., and others on the runway. At intermission, the show will go interactive with designers highlighting a style that can’t be confined by any era as well as silent auction! The Greentree Dillard’s beauty squad also will be there to provide lipstick touch-ups or any last minute look enhancers.
This is an 18+ event where IDs will be checked and underage drinking is not permitted.
Get some Saturday Night Fever for yourself and give hope and help to children and families hurt by violence and abuse. Disco Fever – it’s where it’s at!
