Jack McQuade to get well deserved recognition

June 12, 2018

Louisville Business First will recognize Jack McQuade, vice president of Finance for Family & Children’s Place, with a Best of Finance Award June 14, honoring him for his outstanding performance in his role as a nonprofit financial steward. McQuade is one of several the business tabloid is honoring.

McQuade, who is retiring from the agency at the end of June, has led and directed bookkeeping, accounting, and financial responsibilities for 19 years. Prior to joining Family & Children’s Place, McQuade worked for Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers), as audit manager for Guerdon Industries, controller for Boland-Maloney Lumber Co., and as chief financial officer for Semonin Realtors.

He is a member of the American Institute and Kentucky Society of CPAs, a native of Louisville, a Certified Public Accountant, and graduate of Bellarmine University with a degree in accounting.

This the second year for the business trade’s Best in Finance award, which evolved from the CFO of the Year awards that recognized an outstanding professional working in a finance position at a Louisville-area company or nonprofit.

A four-member panel of honorees from last year’s Best in Finance program judged the 2018 nominees, based on the strength of the applications and their own knowledge of the industry. The 20 honorees, reports Business First, “represent financial professionals from a variety of sectors, but each share one common trait — they’re all standouts who have led their organizations to fiscal success.”

Louisville Business First will recognize the honorees June 14 at a luncheon, and feature them in a special issue of the tabloid June 15.
