Jessica Luetzow, director of Foundation Relations for Family & Children’s Place, sits with Diane and Duwayne Baum, friends from Middletown Christian Church.

After attending last year’s Champions for Children Breakfast and learning the ordeals children endure at the agency’s child advocacy centers, the couple decided to donate reconditioned Build-A-Bears for the kids.

This is the third bunch of animals Diane has donated, making it almost two dozen animals, including bunnies, horses, and bears to give children in crisis some comfort.

Diane and Duwayne say they will continue to recondition stuffed animals, and expect to provide another bunch of furry friends in the future.
