HANDS Director Judi Steilberg speaks at NAS conference

October 2, 2015

Congratulations and thanks to Judi Steilberg, director of the HANDS program for Family & Children’s Place, who participated in a panel discussion during Thursday’s NAS Conference here in Louisville.

IMG_3531Steilberg spoke before about 120 medical professionals on the topic, “Community Resources for Mothers and Families Impacted by Addiction.” This year’s conference theme was Substance Exposed Pregnancies: Care for the Mother-Infant Dyad to Improve Long-Term Outcomes.

It’s a topic she cares deeply for and knows much about as every day HANDS family visitation staff works with new or expectant parents to create positive pregnancy outcomes, stimulate child growth and development, ensure a safe, healthy and happy home, and equip parents to make smart, sound decisions for themselves and their baby.
