Children and families who come to Family & Children’s Place face issues most of us can’t begin to comprehend. Abuse – sexual, physical, emotional, neglect, violence in the home, problems in school and at home, financial challenges that threaten safety and security leaving little hope for a Merry Christmas.

You can give them the holiday they deserve by participating in our Brighter Holidays program. Sign on to be a sponsor and you will be matched with a child and given their specific information – name, age, gender, needs, clothing sizes, and a list of interests.

By buying gifts for children who would otherwise have nothing – the suggested gift value is $75 per child – you give them the excitement and love of the holiday season.  Sharing your holiday spirit this way gives parents and children in crisis the sense of community they need and deserve.

To make it easy, we will schedule drop-off times at our Grantline Road (New Albany, Ind.) and Zane Street (Louisville) locations.  Please wrap and label gifts with the child’s name and unique identifier to ensure the correct packages go to the correct family.

Anyone can participate – individuals, a family, friends, church group, Boy or Girl Scout troop, fraternity or sorority, business, etc. It’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit, and you truly will make a difference.
