FSP families, kids celebrate Christmas
December 20, 2016
Twenty-one families with more than 30 children in the agency’s Family Stabilization Program celebrated their annual Christmas Party recently with the FSP team.
Along with a dinner of fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes and rolls provided by Marjorie Pilkinton and Masterson’s, families enjoyed crafts and toys for the kids. Family & Children’s Place Ambassador alum Joe Clay, through his company, Liberty Mutual, donated toys and gift cards.
The University of Louisville Medical School held a bake sale, which provided bags of baked goodies to kids who visited with Santa and his elf, played by JT Henderson and Micah Jorrisch. Henderson is vice president of Philanthropy and Jorrisch is director of corporate and community partnerships.
The FSP Ignite team, a group of young professionals helping the FSP team with a special project plan, and the FSP advisory council also volunteered for the party, helping set up and clean up.
