F&CP’s Pam Darnall taking part in Bizwomen Mentoring Monday
March 30, 2017
Pam Darnall, Family & Children’s Place president and CEO, will be participating, along with 39 other community, nonprofit and business leading women, in Bizwomen Mentoring Monday, sponsored by Louisville Business First.
Similar events are scheduled in 43 Business Journal markets on the same day, meaning that at least 200+ women will be coached in every market or 10K women across America, from Alaska to Hawaii.
Each mentor conversation will last seven minutes, with attendees lining up to wait for a particular mentor, or they can move to the next mentor available. The process empowers participants to network as they wait, which has proven to be as important as the coaching sessions. The goal is for each attendee to meet and speak with at least one and as many as seven mentors.
Other mentors include Jennifer Adrio, American Red Cross Kentuckiana Region; Wendy Dant Chesser, One Southern Indiana; Cathy Dykstra, Family Scholar House; Lisa Heideman, UPS; and Debra Hoffer, Junior Achievement.
