FASS Student Expresses Gratitude
February 18, 2019
Last week, Family & Children’s Place staff taught students in our Family & School Services program about gratitude. Students learned what “gratitude” means, how to express gratitude, and how it affects our happiness and self-esteem. As part of the lesson, students were asked to write a letter to someone that had impacted them and why they were grateful for the person. One student, who will remain nameless, wrote about the impact Family & Children’s Place has had on them. You can read their message below.
“Dear Mr. Bobby and CLASP Family,
I just wanted to say thank you for being there for me. When I first met you all, I didn’t know what to expect. It was when ‘bad’ things were happening in my life a year ago. I thought it was important for me to find a program to enjoy when I had to face the toughest times. I have really enjoyed every moment I am here at CLASP. Again, I just wanted to say thank for helping me through my hardest times.”
Family & School Services offers school-based services in Louisville and Southern Indiana that work with educators and families to help students improve social and academic success.
