Family & Children’s Place is proud to announce that its campus, including the Family Service Center, Kosair Charities Child Advocacy Center, and its parking areas is now a No Hit Zone.

The declaration stems from a growing nationwide movement with hospitals, physician offices, prosecutors, law enforcement and child serving agencies to help reduce the incidence of violence. We understand that hitting – using violence, especially children, contributes to negative outcomes such as increased risk of aggression, antisocial behavior, physical injury and even some mental health problems.

By being a No Hit Zone, the agency is helping reduce the risk that any given child – or anyone – will suffer abuse, or engage in criminal conduct as a child or adult.
