Make plans now to help Drive Out Child Abuse in the Family & Children’s Place annual golf scramble, June 10, at Persimmon Ridge Golf Club. The 13th annual scramble is a FUNdraising event, bringing awareness and critical support for the agency’s work with children and families hurt by abuse.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a pro,” said JT Henderson, vice president of Philanthropy. “Every drive, birdie or bogey gets us one step closer to ending child abuse.

“So sign up your friends and come out and enjoy a day of golf, along with giveaways, prizes and entertainment and give kids and their families a chance at a happy, hopeful future.”

Cost for a foursome is $840 (with no sponsorship) or just $210 for an individual. Tee time will be announced soon for the standard best ball format scramble. The fees cover 18 holes of golf, a golf cart and lunch at the course, which won the 2007 Golf Digest Outstanding Design Award, plays through woods, over creeks around lakes and through a 120-foot elevation change.

The day also features a closest to the pin contest, hit the target in the lake/pond and best score as well.

There are still sponsorship opportunities available, from Hole Partner at $250 up to Hole in One Partner for $5,000. Every dollar provides life-changing services to children who deserve the chance to grow up happy and healthy and enjoy meaningful relationships with friends, family and others.

To register for the scramble, discuss sponsorship opportunities, or if you have any questions, contact our Development team at 502- 855-6075.
