Children do benefit from government support programs

Skeptics have long argued that government efforts to support low-income families, including early childhood interventions, increase dependency rather than provide sustainable solutions. But a growing body of research suggests that looking for immediate results is wrong-minded, and that long term, children derive substantial benefit.
