FCP Ambassadors

Be an FCP Ambassador

Family & Children’s Place Ambassadors (age 21-40) are passionate child advocates who raise support for the agency while building their brand, advancing their career, and expanding their network. As a Family & Children’s Place Ambassador, you will gain nonprofit philanthropic experience and leadership skills, and represent the agency at community events. During their two-year-long service, Family & Children’s Place Ambassadors are expected to do the following:

Required Events

Attend the orientation and FCP tour (August 18 from 5 to 7 p.m.), fundraising and media training (September 2022), donor Thank-a-Thon (November 28-December 2), Spring fundraiser of the Ambassador team’s choice, Champions for Children Breakfast (April 2023), and recruiting event (May 2023).

Program Engagement

Participate in a shadowing session with two (2) of our programs.

Community Engagement

Represent the agency at community events and/or run a marketing campaign on your personal social media account. Event opportunities and marketing resources will be provided. You can represent the agency in any groups you are already involved in or in any events the agency is invited to participate in.

Board Engagement

Consider joining a committee of the agency’s board of directors.

Fundraising Engagement

Host a table of guests from your network at the annual Champions for Children Breakfast.

Financial Support

Secure $250 in donations through a personal “give” or fundraising “get” in each year of your term.
