More about child maltreatment.
There are five types of child maltreatment: physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, physical neglect, and emotional neglect. Family & Children’s Place seeks to prevent potential abuse, stop current abuse, and heal those who have been impacted. In Kentucky and Indiana, the need is urgent: Kentucky’s child abuse rate doubles the national average while Indiana is ranked 14th of child fatalities from abuse or neglect.
